Tom Lowe & Samuel Jablon
The Jean-François Cazeau gallery is pleased to invite you to its new contemporary art exhibition "Tom Lowe & Samuel Jablon", from November 22, 2018 to January 26, 2019, in Sanremo.
This exhibition is the result of the meeting between the gallery and Ballon Rouge Collective, a Belgian gallery dedicated to promoting works by young emerging artists through exhibitions in many selected cities (Istanbul, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, London, Paris ...). Represented by Ballon Rouge, these two artists will be presented in the Italian exhibition space of the Galerie Jean-François Cazeau.
Tom Lowe, a British artist born in Newcastle in 1982, produced in 2016 a series of drawings, whose images are taken on the Internet or social media. His series then becomes a representation of the abundance and varied nature of the visual cues we encounter each day. The images have no global narration or meaning, but rather speak of the very lack of meaning and narrative voice in the way we interact with images and people across our devices.
Samuel Jablon, born in 1987, is an American artist working in New York. The work of Samuel Jablon explores the dialogue between poetry and abstraction, in a universe influenced by his daily New Yorkers. It is a continuation of artists such as Christopher Wool and Alighiero Boetti, mixing words and colors in their artistic language.
